Edge Assist is the community care arm of Edge Church International. Our mission is to provide quality programs and services that encourage individuals to become caring, competent, responsible members of society, who value their families, neighbourhood and local community.
Originally founded as Southside Care Inc, Edge Assist was established in 1995 to provide a range of services to serve and support the community.
There are three key areas of care we provide:
Our Schools Program includes a variety of different initiatives, including:
Our Family Support Program provides services to individuals and families in crisis or short-term financial difficulty, as well as those living with a disability or other disadvantage.
The main services provided are:
Services are provided in collaboration with business or community partners who provide a range of support from supplying bread for the food hampers, to facilities for distribution of the feeding program.
Partners include:
A relocation service is available to move or re-locate low income individuals or families, those in crisis or new migrants or refugees additional services include moving heavy objects or relocating furniture or whitegoods within the homes of the disabled or aged.
The program is supported by community business partners such as Drake Foodmarkets.
